Huus is dedicated to inclusivity in the built environment. Founder Freyja Sewell, who is neurodiverse herself, brings her personal lived experience into the design of our products, creating furniture that enhances interior spaces to better support neurodiversity.
Our story…
Huus pods meet the requirements for a Certified Autism Resource (CAR) by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). This means that our pods meet the requirements and needs of people with autism spectrum disorders. IBCCES is an independent certification board specializing in cognitive disorders.
The Huus story started in 2011 when founder Freyja Sewell introduced the first closable felt pod to the market with the iconic Hush Pod. The product quickly gained popularity, winning awards and attracting attention from around the world.
Over the past decade, our range has expanded, offering a carefully curated collection of pieces that empower you to thoughtfully craft interiors inspired by nature. Today, Huus continues to be dedicated to creating spaces that are both beautiful and conducive to well-being, allowing you to design environments where people truly thrive.
